ABOUT ME

Profile Pic.jpg

Sometimes, our usual way of thinking and dealing with life adversities stops working, leaving us feeling lost. If you are looking to gain some perspective on your thoughts and feelings, gestalt therapy is a good place to start. My purpose is to bring some clarity and awareness to your thought process especially the ones that are disruptive and preventing you to live a fuller life. What I learned through my own journey of healing is that there is no right or wrong way of doing therapy. The outcome depends on your intention. Keep in mind that therapy is not the ultimate solution to our problems, but rather it supports us to expand our capacity and have the agency to get through tough situations in the future.

It was because of my desire to understand my own behaviors and actions that led me to pursue an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Toronto. Subsequently, my curiosity in experiential learning brought me to the Gestal Institute of Toronto where I did my five-year training program in Psychotherapy.

As a licensed psychotherapist registered by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), I am committed to the well-being of my clients and provide support and guidance on their journey of self-growth. I am also a member of the Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy (CAPT) and I abide by both CRPO and CAPT's code of ethics.

WHAT IS GESTALT THERAPY?

Gestalt therapy takes on a holistic approach that examines both the human mind and behavior. We are not isolated individuals but rather our thoughts and actions are affected by our history and environment. Understanding these impacts can bring clarity and awareness to our unconscious thought processes and how we react to stressors. Gestalt therapist acts as guidance and a companion with the client on their journey to self-growth. With time, and through the increased awareness of our actions, change will begin.
